How To Sign Out Of Gmail: A Helpful Guide


Gmail is a one the worlds leading free e-mail services. But for some non tech savy folks it can be somewhat tricky to find out how to log off once you have logged in.

Logging Out Of Gmail On A PC (First Method)

  1. Sign into you Gmail account.
  2. Go to your default mailbox.
  3. Navigate to the top right of your profile and tap on profile photo.
  4. Then tap the “sign out” option.

Note: This is the easiest way to sign off of your email account. But if you are feeling a little adventurous. Below are a few more unique ways to remove your email history that is automatically saved on your browser.


How To Sign Out Of Gmail Sessions Everywhere (Second Method)

  1. Log in to you Gmail account
  2. Go to your default mailbox.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
  4. Next tap on “details”.
  5. A pop up window will display all of your current email sessions as well as history.
  6. Finally tap on “sign out of all devices”.

Note: This is great if you go to public places or forget to close your account somewhere. A couple of clicks and you will be logged out of your email account everywhere.


Remove All Traces Of Email Activity (Third Method):

Internet Explorer:

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. For Microsoft Internet Explorer/Edge users. Click on “tools”.
  3. Now click on “clear recent history”
  4. That will remove all traces of your email activity from you computer and automatically do a Gmail sign out.

Google Chrome:

  1.  For chrome users. Click on the “settings” located on the top right of your browser.
  2. From the “settings” tap on the option to “clear browsing data”.
